Let me preface this by saying I know next to nothing about whales and have never seen one in real life (only on tv, the net, YouTube). I've been touched by the various comments across the internet.
ReplyDeleteI'm responding to the news about the trainer who was killed by the killer whale at Sea World. It doesn't make sense to keep these huge mammals in a fish tank! Aren't they, like, 12,000 pounds???
Why would rational people coop these animals up in these tight spaces like this (I've never been to Sea World but I seriously doubt there's enough room for them) and then be shocked when things like this happen?
It's a tragedy what happened to this trainer, may she rest in peace. I'm surprised that this doesn't happen more often. Those whales must be mad out of their minds and missing their families in the seas.
thanks for such a nice post. keep it up.
